Just browsing around looking for something unique and this lovely little wagon pops up. Is a Saab with that mileage a wise investment at this price? I know nothing about Saabs and don’t know really know anyone personally who’s had one.

I know this is the year they also started sharing some bits with other GM vehicles so buying parts shouldn’t bankrupt me.

This generation shared very little with GM, but parts are still very easy to get due to Saab Parts being a separate company that is still in business.

This is a pretty good deal, actually. The ‘04-’05 Aeros are the best mix of good styling and updated mechanical bits. The biggest change was in the PCV system, which took care of the notorious sludge issues. I’d buy it.

That’s rather encouraging.

I like the fact that it’s also a two owner. The 2nd is clearly an enthusiast. I’ll see what I can do. Trust me Oppo will certainly know what happens.

From the pictures it looks incredible. I’m not sure about the wheel choice, but that’s completely subjective. The ‘04-’05 Aero is the best 9-5, in my opinion. They had the better quality interior and styling of the older cars with the updated drivetrain and creature comforts of the later cars. Plus this one already has some of the Genuine Saab (a tuner, not actually Saab) modifications that help with driveability.

I also love the clean lines that hearken back to classic Saab but with the modern tech. It’s like a Jr Resto-Mod from the factory in my eyes. Also not a fan of the SS Cobalt wheels but that’d be changed after winter. The modification list is what I would have eventually done so that saves me some cash there as well. Trying to get the money aligned now and also a day off to meet up and see the car in person.
